Integra the new idea

We build quite a lot of applications right. These range from contact management, to sms messenger and property solutions to document management . These are all seperate standalone applications running on their own database and code base. Well why should they be seperate? Why can't our clients send sms messages from the sms messenger to contacts from their contact management application? Why can't they access their documents from the document manager whilst working on client data in Property Manager Web. Hopefully you can see the point I am about to make. Why not integrate all our solutions into one application shell and enable them to communicate easily with each other. Why not enable third party software developers to integrate securely with our software suite? Why not give our clients one web based medium where they can access these applications at a click of a button in a way that is already familiar to them? Well that is where this whole Integra solution stems from.

I propose a web based solution that acts and responds like the standard windows desktop we are all used to. The solution should allow our web applications (and third party) to securely communicate with each other and share web resources. The solution should focus on the problem of INTEGRAtion and provide a single point of entry for our customers to login and manage their business. I propose a WEB 2.0 solution code named INTEGRA.

Change in company direction

We have been in this IT game for about 4 years now. Ask me back then what we specialise in and I would list pretty much everything possible with IT. This ranged from web design, hosting, Custom PC builds, Networking, Consultancy and everything else. All this with just a four man team. It was ambitious but it ulitmately failed. There was no focus and no direction. Well thats all changed now. The way I saw it the main players in the company where developers. Nothing more nothing less. Yeah we were good at consultancy, PC builds and web design but at the core we were damn good software developers. So for 2007 we decided to focus on our core competence and that is software development. So now we develop web based software solutions for all types of business, we also sell our own software product line.

So with a huge investment in our marketing campaign which starts on July and our new members of staff only time will tell if this was the right move.

New website design

4 years, its been 4 years since we last changed our website design. Why it's taken us so long to do it is beyond me. But at last its complete (well sort of). We have a new website design and it's not too bad. Could be better and thats something that we are very aware of, but for now it's just good to see something different.
